Most of us have been affected by do drugs do by either directly or indirectly. Drug abusers misuse themselves, as well as their families and communities. Drug abuse takes an enormous ships bell on our hostelry at m any levels. The salute of drug abuse on our society is astronomical, non only financially but besides personally, emotionally, socially and professionally. Drug abuse is the misuse or oerdose of any medication or drug, including alcohol. Many people abuse drugs to deal with public life. Although it is true that for most people the initial decision to take drugs is voluntary, over time the changes in the brain caused by repeated drug abuse can effect a persons control and susceptibility to make sound decisions, and at the same time send deep impulses to take drugs (Shannon 246). Many people, who abuse drugs, wil l develop a chronic condition called addiction. Once addicted, it is challenging for the drug abuser to stop abusing drugs. The cost of drug and alcohol recovery services can be expensive, not only to the recovering addict and their families, but also to society pay for services through government agencies. Drug addicts relapsing from their disease or those who be not interested in recovery cost society by involvement in crime, neglect, abuse and even death. Drugs being abused are classified under nine different categories cocaine, hallucinogens, herion, inhalants, marijuana, pain relievers, sedatives, stimulants and tranquilizers. These drugs roam from illegal, over-the-counter to prescription medications.
